Meet Dr. Zubowski

Dr. Robert Zubowski is fully accomplished at achieving natural, satisfying results for his patients. As an extremely organized and compassionate practitioner, the personal methodology Dr. Zubowski uses in interacting with his patients reassures them that they are receiving the best care possible. Even before completing his medical training, Dr. Zubowski realized the importance of meeting patients' needs through individualized care and attention. He believes that one-on-one consultations set the stage for successful surgical outcomes. Accordingly, Dr. Zubowski invests a great deal of his time and energy into helping his patients identify their surgical goals so that both he and the patient share the same expectations. Dr. Zubowski also values full disclosure and patient education, as consultations at his office also include candid and frank discussions of possible risks and complications.

Dr. Robert Zubowski's face has become increasingly recognizable, as he regularly speaks on all aspects of cosmetic surgery to various public and professional groups. Whenever the media is in need of expert information or a valuable opinion on new cosmetic surgery techniques, Dr. Zubowski is among the select group of professionals who fields the calls. He has also notably appeared on television's "The View" as Barbara Walters' guest, has been featured on FOX News, and has appeared on the New Jersey News Network.

Education and Training

To further validate the surgical skills and years of experience he gained while completing a general surgery residency at New York Medical College and an additional residency at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Dr. Robert Zubowski has been board-certified in both plastic and general surgery. He remains fiercely loyal and grateful to both of the institutions that trained and propelled him to his career. He has served as an associate professor of Plastic Surgery at New York Medical College and as the plastic surgery specialty director of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Alumni Association, where he is also an adjunct staff member. Dr. Zubowski is a former associate director of plastic surgery at Ridgewood's The Valley Hospital and holds a Certificate of Advanced Education in Cosmetic Surgery from the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In spite of his advanced training, skill, and experience, Dr. Zubowski continues to hone his skills and improve his surgical knowledge by frequently attending plastic and reconstructive surgery forums both stateside and abroad.

Professional Memberships

Dr. Robert Zubowski's memberships in various professional organizations whose members must adhere to the highest ethical and moral standards reflect his conviction to uphold his integrity both in his practice and in his personal life. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Plastic Surgery, the American Medical Association, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Contributions to the Field and Paramus Community

After several years of performing breast reconstruction surgery for cancer survivors, Dr. Robert Zubowski began to recognize a need for support among these special, courageous women. As he is often inclined to do, Dr. Zubowski took a proactive role to meet the unique emotional needs of his patients, co-founding the New Jersey chapter of Image Reborn, a non-profit support group for breast reconstruction patients. Additionally, Dr. Zubowski works pro bono for Interplast, with whom he travels to Third World countries and performs reconstructive surgeries for children born with birth defects. He also invests in his own community, formerly serving as president of his town's Board of Health and as a member of its recreation commission. During the time he has off, Dr. Zubowski can be found coaching his children in their extracurricular activities, skiing, golfing, and maintaining a vigorous daily exercise routine.
